Position Summary

The Business Leader of Mobile Products, BRAZIL is responsible for extending Visa’s global mobile strategies in BRAZIL, and supporting the local market in prioritizing and executing initiatives. The mobile solutions scope includes mobile NFC, TSM, remote payments, mobile prepaid, top up, and mobile acceptance. This role will manage a cross-functional virtual team that supports the local market that develop and execute strategies across the mobile business, and requires working with traditional and new clients to drive revenue in the mobile channel.

The Business Leader of Mobile Products will report to the Head of Mobile Products, Latin America and Caribbean, based in Miami, with significant exposure to key leaders across the Visa organization, and will be based in Visa’s Brazil Sao Paulo office. The role will also work closely with the Head of Products Brazil, based in Sao Paulo.

Visa's Latin America and Caribbean Mobile Product group is responsible for identifying new opportunities that exist within the mobile payment landscape, creating strategies that define Visa's participation in those opportunities, and delivering the capabilities required to capture those opportunities. Within that team, the Mobile Product function will be responsible for working with a globally diverse set of Visa clients and mobile ecosystem partners to both deliver Visa capabilities successfully into the marketplace as well as to provide input into the product management process based on client and partner needs.

The business leader of Mobile Products will have the responsibility to lead the mobile business lines sales and product opportunities under tight timelines and aggressive business targets. This role reports directly to the Senior Business Leader, Head of Mobile Products Latin America and Caribbean.

This position would be ideal for a candidate with a business and product strategy development background looking to build upon that experience in the product side of a payments technology company.

Responsibilities

§ Understand key market and industry drivers for mobile payments in the Brazil region.

§ Identify strategic business-building opportunities in mobile solutions and services

§ Work with business development teams to develop strategies for partnership with issuers, MNOs’ and third parties to develop and enhance mobile product offerings, including technical solutions, business models, pricing options etc.

§ Consolidate business requirements in Brazil, and work closely with global development teams to customize for the region where required.

§ Partner with Country Products and Innovation teams in the local markets to ensure delivery of Mobile solutions with specific market needs and requirements.

§ Build relationship with key senior stakeholders in geographies evolve the mobile solutions roadmap for Brazil.

§ Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements while executing Mobile products business objectives.

§ Become a subject matter expert in the product capabilities and technology architecture of Visa mobile solutions

§ Working with clients and Visa business development and account management colleagues, program management of pilots and commercial deployments with Visa clients in Brazil

§ Working with mobile ecosystem partners, such as mobile network operators, wallet providers and handset manufacturers, help achieve Visa product readiness and identify new business opportunities for Visa’s mobile solutions

§ In conjunction with Visa technology teams, work with mobile payments ecosystem suppliers to ensure their products will work with the Visa mobile contactless payments platform (i.e., payment application providers, handsets/mobile devices, secure elements, mobile application providers, mobile contactless network service providers, trusted service managers)

§ Support relationships with ecosystem partners and suppliers, such as semiconductor manufacturers, mobile application platform and service providers, mobile contactless form factor suppliers, trusted service managers, processors and mobile network operators.

§ Product management responsibilities including working with cross-functional and/or cross-regional teams to develop new product development programs and manage existing product development programs to grow adoption and usage of Visa products and services

§ Delivery on mobile contactless product strategy, supporting product revenue, market adoption and penetration goals in line with defined product and corporate objectives by working with cross-functional, and cross-regional teams

§ Manage global or regional implementation of functional product initiatives (i.e. development of guidelines, policies, practices, procedures).

§ Execute on global product vision and strategy factoring in evolving regional business needs and mobile contactless ecosystem

§ Identify opportunities for further enhancements Visa development processes and implement such enhancements. As an industry expert provide technical advice to staff and Visa recognized product suppliers

§ Proactively lead and drive the implementation of new technologies and/or products based on Visa specifications; independently manage projects for the design and implementation of new technologies and/or products

§ Participate, coordinate, provide input, support Visa as necessary on international standards bodies e.g. MMA, GSMa, NFC Forum

§ Communicate clearly all interoperability risks and/or issues to Senior management providing solutions and options

Qualifications

§ Bachelors degree required in computer/electrical engineering or computer science, or equivalent technology expertise and acumen acquired through work experience.

§ Requires a minimum of 5-8 years progressively responsible experience in payments industry.

§ The ideal candidate will have experience with mobile payment in its diverse experiences (contactless, remote, mAcceptance)

§ A Sales minded candidate with consulting experience in a marketing and business development

§ Demonstrated track record of executing on product strategies and leading implementations that delivers measurable business results

§ Experience in working with customers in identifying business requirements to drive product development efforts

§ 7+ years experience in banking, Payments or Mobile industry.

§ Strong leadership track record in a company employing a multilateral, collaborative business model.

§ Significant experience of senior roles encompassing, general, operational and commercial management, as well as product development for the mobile or payment industry.

§ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

§ Dynamics and self-motivated, able to drives ideas to deliver results

§ Ability to create and lead virtual teams
