Business Leader - Product Development - MasterCard - Sao Paolo

With dual report to LAC Debit Head and Geo South Products Head, this individual will be responsible for leading debit products for Brazil and Geo South division countries, including Product Strategy, Product Development and Product Management.

Major Accountabilities:

• Direct supervise 3 reports: Brazil, Argentina and Chile debit product leads. Argentina and Chile reports are shared with Credit.

• Track products portfolio key performance indicators and P&L.

• Work close with country managers, local market account managers and issuer marketing teams to leverage portfolio optimization opportunities. Manage key accounts debit plans.

• Jointly with local market teams, lead markets debit strategies. This will include partnering with Marketing, Acceptance, Pricing and Economics, Public Policy, Customer Delivery, Sales, Advisors and other functional teams.

• Manage end-to-end of key initiatives (planning, business plan projections, execution and results track) in coordination with multi-disciplinary local and global teams.

• Jointly with emerging payments teams, drive enhancements and innovations, including contactless, e-commerce and mobile.

• Lead countries World Beyond Cash strategies, including LVP strategy.

• Guaranty Product Strategy consistency, including working with Marketing on Key Promotions, Surpreenda/Compartir platforms, Merchant initiatives and other strategies.

• Support all debit product BAU activities related to countries (Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Peru) needs as well as Global reports and alignments.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Solid experience in product development, product management and portfolio life cycle management in financial services or retail.

• Experience working collaboratively in a cross-functional capacity and demonstrate ability to develop go-to market plans to commercialize products (building, packaging, selling and launching new products/features).

• Fluency in English. Spanish highly desired.

• Working Proficiency with basic office application such as Excel, Powerpoint, Word.

• Competencies: Candidate should be able to demonstrate a level of business acumen and thought leadership that delivers solutions oriented results to the customer.

• Strong project management, partner relationship management and problem solving skills.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to create strategic business plans and objectives by demonstrating strategic thinking and strong financial analysis. Financial capabilities are also desired.

• Outstanding communication and writing skills.
Education: Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred.
