Role Purpose
Microsoft’s Online Services Division is committed to creating a world class search experience for users worldwide. We are looking for talented Program Managers who understand the online and search landscape and can help shape and support the Microsoft Bing search offering in Brazil.
As part of a global market engagement program management team, you’ll be collaborating with multiple, geo-distributed engineering teams, country and regional MS business groups and external Microsoft partners to deliver and support a best-in-class search experience for your market.

Team/Department Mission
The Market Engagement team is responsible for shaping the Bing offering in markets worldwide so that it can lead the search marketplace. Supporting the regional MS business, marketing and partner groups, working closely with engineering teams, analysing user engagement, understanding the search landscape and key market trends and aligning all the respective stakeholders on the product roadmap are key ingredients to this team’s success.

Key Accountabilities:
Support advertising and online business groups (A&O):
Supporting advertising and online (A&O) business groups in reaching their fiscal year search volume, marketing and revenue targets by aligning with core and market specific engineering teams
Handle market escalations and RFI’s and drive them to resolution with the help of partner teams
Define and manage the Product Roadmap:
Create and maintain the search feature roadmap for international markets. Align and update key stakeholders on the product roadmap and its progress
Drive Product Health:
Understand feature and market user engagement and monetisation metrics and track their performance against established quality bars and targets
Drive Engagement:
Regularly communicate the markets online and search landscape
Collaborate with product management and data mining teams on providing market and regional insights and DSATs (dissatisfaction reports) on Bing and its competitors, where possible, making them actionable
Help establish a user focused, quality driven and data driven culture within the market engagement team

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential Experience
Proven experience in delivering software solutions in a program management capacity
Proven capability to deeply engage with customers/partners and build a collaborative working relationship with engineering, design, other PM organizations, as well as marketing and product planning
Experience in leading and motivating others as part of a geographically distributed team
Experienced in defining clear goals, setting expectations and leading multiple concurrent projects to success
Knowledge and experience in Internet search/services data mining and analytics is highly desirable.

Technical/Functional Skills
Strong analytical, technical and data-driven decision making skills
Ability to develop a deep understanding of search technology and architecture, Bing end-users and the competitive market landscape to enable you to make well-balanced, data driven product decisions
Understand end-customers implicit and explicit needs through analysis of multiple data sources, with experience in translating and representing those to key stakeholders who can action them
User centric product design skills and familiarity with approaches for new feature validation is desirable
Personal Attributes/Interpersonal Skills
A proven ability to cut through ambiguity and shape outcomes
Excellent leadership, communication and influencing skills
A detail-oriented, agile, and pragmatic thinker with the ability to handle a diverse number of concurrent activities and team interactions
Self-critical, with good empathy, and shows a drive for results
High energy and enthusiasm towards online and search technologies and product quality

Qualifications
5+ years’ experience as a program manager or product manager in Search or related online product
B.Sc / MS degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is strongly preferred.
Strong Written and Verbal communication skills
Special Requirements/Additional Information e.g. Language Skills
Fluency in English is required, fluency in Brazilian Portuguese is highly desirable
Knowledge and experience in Internet search / online services is highly desirable
