Channel Development Manager - IBM - São Paulo

The Softlayer Channel Development Manager works with existing and prospective partners in promoting and selling SoftLayer’s hosting solutions. This is a regional, Latin America, position, based in Brasil. Will have direct responsibility for Softlayer Channels Development in Brasil and the rest of Latin America countries. Engages potential partners primarily generated from outbound calling along with networking, marketing activities and referrals. The sales process is about asking the right questions and understanding how SoftLayer’s value proposition can address the business objectives, risks, and opportunities of our partners and their clients.
Responsibilities will include:
Successful positioning of the benefits of SoftLayer’s partner programs in an effort to acquire new partners, bring them on board, enable them, and make them productive
Consistently drive new opportunities and revenue through new and existing partnerships
Some travel – up to 50%
Work well with the sales team and solution engineers to design solutions accurately
Required Experience
Must have an extensive network of technology consultants, MSP’s, application developers, MSP’s, ISV’s, SI’s, and VAR’s , etc. in local markets
Fluent in English and regional languages
Bachelor's or graduate degree in business, marketing, or MIS is highly desired
Minimum 3 years of channel sales experience
Minimum 5 years of sales experience providing managed services or hosting solutions
Experience working with VAR’s, MSP’s, ISV’s, SI’s, and IT distributors
Consistent track record of quota attainment and business development
Ability to manage effectively and efficiently multiple tasks and priorities
A solid understanding of and the business objectives for outsourcing
Excellent customer service skills
Outstanding written and verbal communications skills
Excellent presentation skills
Proficient with Salesforce.com
Strong understanding of Microsoft technologies and terminology. (Linux experience also preferred)
Must have current, required works permits for region
Required
Bachelor's Degree
