Job description
Yahoo Brazil is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Director of Advertising Solutions to lead all initiatives in Brazil. This will be one of the most critical positions in our local operation in Brazil as it will be responsible to lead his/her team for building/packaging our monetization offer to advertisers and agencies, positioning Yahoo and also playing an important planning role inside the sales verticals.



The Director of Advertising Solutions will lead a multi-functional high performing team that works with various internal Yahoo departments, and will be responsible to create, develop and manage Yahoo business plans, solution development, products management and content solutions, creating the strategic base for Yahoo market approach. Must be a proactive, results-driven, critical reasoning, analytical, and committed professional to deliver the highest level of service to our internal partners, leadership team, advertisers and agencies.

The Market Development Director is an online advertising expert responsible for building and maintaining deep partnerships with high value clients and supporting our Sales force by developing world-class advertising solutions and programs for major brands and top media/digital agencies.

Job Responsibilities:

Leadership of a multi-functional, high performing local team
Lead a team to help drive media investments mix shift towards digital marketing and increase our share of wallet

· Effectively work with internal Yahoo stakeholders (sales, research, editorial, products, account management, etc.) to gather information and develop innovative recommendations for communication strategies that meet our customers’ and Yahoo's needs

· Develop strategic and innovative advertising solutions, sales collateral and customer-centric, solution-focused marketing programs

Focus on client retention, growth, renewal and satisfaction

· Develop strategic and innovative advertising solutions, sales collateral and customer-centric marketing programs for the field sales organization

· Lead the development of media proposals from incoming RFPs while working closely with Sales, Editorial, Marketing and Legal

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance monetization roadmap, enable sponsorship opportunities, and develop new cross-network display packages

Collaborate with sales on proposal development and presentations
Develop and implement exceptional marketing communications programs enabling Yahoo to pursue ad spend with key advertiser clients and prospects as well as increase renewals and grow revenue leveraging all sales channels
Lead creation, development and implementation of client-focused, industry oriented and innovative online advertising solutions that accelerate sales and help clients to achieve their communications objectives
Provide campaign updates and optimization recommendations to ensure that advertisers are reaching their ROI goals
Put together and position our offer for audience buy and RTB identifying our needs and working together with the GM to fulfill those aligning with global teams, partnering or developing our solution to bring to the market.
Drive creation of client-focused, differentiated and achievable Content Solutions, deeply connected with advertiser’s message and capable to produce higher engagement rates with its audience
Articulate Yahoo product positioning strategies, key selling messages, key product differentiators and competitive insights.
Integration of cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and the best solutions for Yahoo and for advertisers/agencies
Represent Yahoo online advertising perspective and products offerings benefits via events, presentations, seminars and media.
Support country GM in developing executive presentations for company leadership alignment meetings, as well as for keynotes and company meetings
Business cases development for pitching new platforms and investments based on audience/revenue impact forecasts and strategic value for the operation, running it through the whole approval cycle within the company




Job Requirements:

BA/BS in Communications, Business Administration or Economics and MBA/MSc degree from a top tier university
10 year experience, preferably in strategy, marketing intelligence, online marketing or consulting in marketing/strategy related practices and/or online sales
Strategic insight and strong digital media business acumen
Very strong analytic skills and problem solving capabilities
Proven track record of leadership roles in high performance business environments
Ability to develop, discuss, and communicate ideas and concepts to C-level executives
Fluency in English (mandatory)
